About

I started Megan McDonald Art & Design, in January 2012 after two years of freelancing. I design logos, brand identities, websites, signs, flyers, multimedia packaging, and textiles for local and international clients. I’m also the Supply Chain Communications Coordinator at Generac Power Systems. In this role, I create dynamic presentations, maintain the SharePoint site, and coordinate events for my department.
My work incorporates traditional and digital mediums and is inspired by music, philosophy, history, symbolism, mythology, folklore, and the relationship between mankind and nature. Many of my pieces are based on collage and contain a range of styles from minimal to intricately detailed.
I have exhibited my work in Milwaukee, Chicago, and Detroit, and have a piece in the permanent collection of the Nek Chand Rock Garden in Chandigarh, India. My work has also been published in Sendpoints Books’ Modern Patterns and Classical Patterns, Color Inspirations by Darius A. Monsef IV, and Collectively Bound: 2009/10 UWM Art Collectives by John Dorn of Collectively Bound.
When I’m not making art or designing, I enjoy spending my time listening to music, practicing yoga, going to concerts, reading, blogging, and watching movies and documentaries.
